NDP3 Speech Assessment – Available in Digital and Printed

In Print, the NDP3 Speech Assessment includes seven hard-wearing wiro-bound, laminated speech assessment flip-books, comprising CV and VC, CVC, CVCV, Multisyllabic, Consonant clusters, Phrases and Sentences and the re-tell story “Visit to the Zoo”. The set also includes a bound printed copy of the updated 21-page NDP3 Speech Assessment forms. Additional bound copies of the forms are available.

In Digital, the set matches the print edition used with tens of thousands of children. Just launch the NDP3 Digital app and choose Speech Assessment. Select which of the Assessment flip-books to view and jump or scroll through the pages. It’s as easy to us as a flip-book. The digital set also includes the full updated 21-page NDP3 Speech Assessment – which can be printed and completed for each child. Additional printed copies of the forms are available.

NDP3® Assessment HCE transcription

Australian Speech Pathologists are increasingly using the Harrington, Cox and Evans (HCE) (1997) transcription system in preference to the Mitchell (1946) transcription system, for describing Australian English. We are therefore pleased to provide a phonemic transcription of the NDP3 Assessment single vowels, words, phrases and sentences for a typical Australian adult speaker, using the HCE system. The document is a 5-page PDF.

NDP3 Therapy Resources – in searchable printable Digital format – now include revised oro-motor advice and exercises.

NDP3 Therapy Resources include over 550 searchable, printable structured therapy worksheets, featuring child-friendly designs and presentations and additional therapy sections. The worksheets are organised into different levels: single sounds, C+V /V+C, CV, CVCV, CVC, multisyllabic words, clusters, phrase and clause word combinations and from sentence level to connected speech. Blank worksheets are also provided to give clinicians flexibility to design their own worksheets, specific to an individual child’s profile of difficulties.

NDP3 Therapy cards are now printed on-demand from NDP3 Speech Builder to provide effective therapy with minimal use of paper resources. Originally sets of 478 picture cards but now based on the full 750-picture NDP3 image library, targeted cards can be created quickly and easily. Their creation can also be a helpful way to engage the child.

NDP3 Speech Builder includes specific templates to print 8-up (A7), 4-up (A6) and 2-up (A5) cards per sheet.

A pack of 100 sheets (for 800 cards) is included with each NDP3 Digital purchase. Further packs are available separately.

Available in Digital and Print. Seven 20-page Assessment flip-books: CV/VC, CVC, CVCV, Multisyllabic, Consonant clusters, Phrases and Sentences and “Visit to the Zoo” story re-tell.

NEW for current edition – “Visit to the Zoo” – this story re-tell is a 159-word, 8-page story of a family trip to the zoo. It is an additional assessment of connected speech (beyond the imitation of phrases and sentences) for therapists to use as an observational exercise.

The story is read to the child, while showing the flip-book pictures. The child is then encouraged to re-tell the story using the pictures as a prompt. The child’s responses are transcribed onto the Assessment forms – live or from an audio recording. The connected speech checklist (on the next page of the Assessment) can be used to describe the child’s connected speech and to rate severity.

NDP3 Articulogram cards – in Digital and Print – work with them on-screen or on a table

The Print edition is a set of 42 hard-wearing laminated colour-coded cards – with yellow backgrounds for consonants, blue backgrounds for vowels – with Articulogram cues. The cards set comes complete with a book of 84 A4 single sound/CV syllable early sound making worksheets.

The Digital edition cards are just a click away in the NDP3 Digital app – and each image is easy to find through the thumbnail index. Work with them on-screen or print them for tactile work. The digital edition also includes the 84 single sound/CV syllable early sound making worksheets, ready for print or work on-screen.
